Today's labour day, some day that a lot of people had been looking forward to because for them, this is definitely some rest they hardly get. However, I take this day with an attitude that expresses polarities. On one hand, I dreaded the arrival of this day so much as it would mark the end of my week-long MC. On the other, I can't wait for this day to come for that it's the one day when old friends are able to come together to have a good game of street soccer, and to have those nostalgic breeze chats in the neighbourhood's coffee chop on how silly and carefree we were back then...This morning, I woke up exceptionally early at around 0800h (considering that it' a non-school day, it's early). Initially, I was reluctant to crawl out from the comfort of the cozy bed. Maybe not too cozy due to the hot weather. Anyway, I got up, washed up a bit, and set off. I was the earliest, a little too early. But I am glad I went there early. At least I was able to recollect some of the happy memories we had there since Secondary 3. I love my Secondary 3 year.Soon, the people were here. They came as a group, which led me to wonder if they had already met up somewhere earlier before coming. But people are weird. When I was there at 0900h, no one came to use the court. It was such a peaceful and quiet morning. However, once my friends came, two other groups of people followed suite and came right behind. More than just a mere coincidence I would say. If they had a common meeting time and it was 0907h in the morning, they really had a weird sense of time. I mean, who would meet at that kind of time? Wouldn't it be like more practical to meet at 0900h, 0905, or 0910, rather than an awkward 0907? That aside, as I've mentioned in the previous posts that I've fallen, I went to the soccer not fully recovered, or rather, still weak. Hence, I only managed to play a bit. Like played 5 minutes and rested half an hour that kind of thing. Despite that, I noticed I perspired the most even before the game begun. I was really sick. I don't know why but I felt breathless really easily. Perhaps it's the flam obstructing my breathing. Let's hope it's not asthma. Asthma sucks. Nevertheless, I scored one goal, an insignificant one goal compared to some of my friends whom kept on piling on the number, but considering the amount I played and that it was a solo-effort, it's quite comforting still. Overall, I was not satisfied with my performance. Felt like my movements had become so retard on the court. It was especially bad when my legs became jelly towards the end of the game. But I'm glad that my shin splint did not act today. Maybe I've had already recovered.^_^After that, we slacked at the void deck beside the provision shop and went to the good old place where all of us used to like to have our meals at- that hawker centre. Me, Joel, KC, and Kah ordered Tom Yam soup. For the first time, I emptied the entire bowl without any aid from any source of water. It was as delicious as ever! Despite the price hike, it's still worth every single cent! At around 1500h, the sun was already hanging high above, and the heat was making our head spin. I took the bus with Joel and went home after that. Have some sunburn on my face, and didn't feel good after a bath. Thus, went to sleep, all the way until dinner time.Heard that Manchester United was through to the finals for Champions League. Although I'm supporter of no particular clubs, I am still very glad Man Utd got through. At least it's not Barcelona. For some reason, I don't like them. For the finals, it will be Man Utd against Chelsea, since Lampard and Drogba led Chelsea cruise over Liverpool last night. Thus, for both EPL and CL, it will be the title race between the Blues and the Red Devils. Let's hope the devil will regain their fire power and clinch a double! Cheerios, MU!
