O Holy Night
God's Angels guided me through

brightening darkness; removing obstacles

to have seen me thus far

Secrets of the woods become secrets no more

For God has commanded me to share my experience

with those whom trust and don't

as the encounter would witness and stand

and show the greatness of our mighty Lord

God bless

Happy Birthday to me

Today is the 24th February, my birthday. After today, I'm gonna be a year older, ie. 17 years old. Yesterday, I saw this quote on the display panel saying that a person's age should be mark by the number of friends he has, and not by the number of years he had come through. I find it pretty true, because age is somehow related to the degree of maturity a person is. I has a simple celebration today. Met someone whom I always wanted to meet in the morning. Then got home, where my sister and family came to celebrate my birthday.Had much laughters and fun, before I was plagued by the awful gastric. The worst attack of the year. So pain that I can't go out. Hence, I skipped my OG gathering yet again. Then came online, to realise that I'm allocated to a triplet class. I'm intimidated. Second blow came when I got to know that I'm leaving alpha. But, it's ok now, because next year's orientation would not be themed Zenith, so in any case, I never betray Zephon. =) At night, I decided to help clone do her essay. Was a little reluctant, because my brain's becoming rather rusty after so long. But for her, I did it=) I'm good. Had headache while doing, so I was really relieved when I completed it. Then I called her, but she seemed to be asleep le. Called many times, but to no avail. Glad that you've some sleep=) Gastric's attacking again, for no apparent reasons.=(

Zenith Trilogy

It was the first day of orientation. I was put in charge of orientation group 5, together with 7 other orientation group leaders. We had to report really early, and there were around 50+ orientation group members who turned up. Marking attendance for large group wasn't at all easy, needless to say when it's 50+ unfamiliar faces. Hence, I had to go to every individuals time and again to ascertain their identity. Then there was the lunch break, and we had orientation group bonding after that. I didn't know until then that orientation group representative was to be looked upon as the organiser for everything within the group, so I had to organise them. First, we played name-guessing, the we played Earthquake, Fire, Hunter, Tuki-tuki, and then polar bear. Had a lot of fun. After that, we had to carry out the college Trivia, where the group was sub-divided into smaller groups. I wouldn't say that it was a success, but in fact, a total failure. So I was kind of depressed after that. That sort of sum up what happened on the first day. On the second day of orientation, we had amazing race, the Bedok version called the B-manji. I didn't catch the announcement on submitting the attendance sheet, so I had to make a trip back to school, a while after we have set off, only to realise that the sheet's not with me. So I had to go to the second station to wait for them, during which I met with zhiyang, and helped out with another group. Like the day before, we had the mass dance, and this time round, we had the TJCares session where we fold stars to write message to other people. On the 3rd day, also the finale, we had mass games in the morning, where Zephon was treated unfairly by some SCIP people, as always. Then we had 'The Act', the O-afternoon, meaning the final program. Our clan's theme for performance was Zenith sorrow. However, Slithas' one was the one I found funniest, because the guy who swung his shirt had his shirt landed on the photographer, which was super-hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing. After that, we went over to Suntec for mass dance, but before that we had to shop at My.playground as an exchange criteria for the lending of the fountain of wealth. But instead the group of ogls actually sat down at a corner to play many many games, so fun! Then we had the mass dance, cheering, and running. Very exhausting. Then we had OG dinner at kfc, where I treated Sabrina a drink. Then I ate dinner with Ricky and people. After that went on Mrt with some friends, where I learn more games. So cool=)

JAE posting results

Today's tuesday, not a normal one though. We had the JAE results posted to us as early as 0600h in the morning for those whom have a handphone. Today I had to go to school early to relieve BaoHui of her nervousness because her printer's got problem, and some of her important documents are with me. But nevertheless, I left home at 0630h because I had to address my wounds. I took bus number 38 todayand it took almost an hour before reaching school. A ride so long and so frustrating. I had a quick nap before reaching school. There was only a single civics lesson today, and our civics tutor was on medical certification. Hence, we had the only period free also. I went over to pass BaoHui her documents and stayed at the scope area to catch up with WeiHao. Then the OGL representatives together with the clan masters of all clans had to go to the opposite blocks to distribute fliers to the residents to inform them of the coming up orientation which might, to some extent, cause some public nuisance. After that, met up with Kah, Keng, Bird, Jim, and Ray to had some soccer games. I scored some goals, so happy=) But I got injured again. On top of the original injuries, today I got two new ones. First, at the don't know how many minutes, Jimson looped the ball over, and the ball flies towards the goal. Jimson and me went on the run for the ball, and I managed to get it before him. So, it was an on-the-line clearance. Tiong Wei saved the day=) However, unfortunately while I cleared the ball, the big inertia didn't permit me to stop in time. Hence, my jaw was slammed on to the crossbar. Good thing here is that I got my hands to cushion it, else my jaw was bound to drop off. Second, my injured legs didn't allow me to make anymore runs. So I decided to stay back and be the last man, which was the position I can never play. I just stood there, and watch numerous balls get pass me, meaning I conceded manmy goals. However none of them bothered me as much as this particular one. Not that I'm disappointed in how I've done, but that I HAVE TO be bothered. That shot hit accurately on my left wrist, and I think my joint was injured by that. Then, we had lunch at that old place, and spent an hour lazing around. The whole day I was looking forward to evening, but ended up in disappointment. Really do hate myself for not being able to make it punctually. Sigh* But ya, at night chatted with her a little, and then read a really sweet blog entry. So I'm kind of happy now=)

drop-post

Date: 18th February 2008 Weather: Scorchingly, humidly, swelteringly hot Mood: Dampen by tiredness; heightened over orientation; saddened over friends' departure Well, today's another Monday, and supposedly also the last day of the preliminary administration exercise. Down the 7 weeks, it's really been so fun in Temasek Junior College, with all those fun people whom I've met. However, even the happiest moment would eventually come to the end, many of my new friends might be leaving the college after today, due to different pursuits and different dreams. Gavin's one of them. He was my first friend in Temasek Junior College, and like what he said, we do bicker a lot, but it's really been nice knowing you, if you're reading this. Yup, the past 7 weeks' been so memorable in your presence, and you, together with CG25/08 shall always be remembered. He gave each of the CG members a letter and some biscuits as a farewell gift. Mine went like that:
Tiong Wei: Hey! Thanx 4 being a real buddy from Day One until now! Though bickering with ya was fun, I also appreciated your sharing of your thoughts etc with me! Here's wishing your clone and you an everlasting relationship and may GOD bless ya!
Yours sincerely sign off
Orhs well, I like it a lot. Thanks Gavin! I appreciate you as my friend also=) Good luck endeavors to you in Victoria Junior College! Though I can't really bear to see so many people leaving. Today, I had a really long nap during Biology lecture. Tiredness really got the better of me this time round. School was pretty long today and Mrs Goh was rather pissed off with us. I guess I'm one big major factor to it, because while she was going through the test, which I only managed to clinch an eleven out of a total of twenty, I was actually doing my own corrections, and was paying zero attention to her. She must have felt not respected at that point of time. School ended 30minutes later, because Chemistry ate into break time. After that we went to the basketball court. I didn't want to play initially, but was tempted into it not long later. The many blisters below my feet was tormenting, and I couldn't run. I would say Wei Jie's the best player on the court, but nevertheless, my team won! I scored some points, and also clinch the winning point. Haha. But the price of that was a tear at the knee area of the new pair of school pants. I've worn it for not more than 5 times, and it's already torn. After that, I went for OGL's last briefing. It was very dry and many many more people whom I've known of are leaving. So, it's kind of sad. Today didn't get to meet my special someone, but got to chat with her a little. Shall end here now...

Sunday, February 17, 2008

Today is a Sunday, and this week I had a lot of clashes. Hence, with no exception, today's the day when ex-4r1-ians were supposed to go for visitation at Mrs Sim's house, to attend church, to play soccer match, and to go for visitation with the youths. Amongst all, I chose to attend service and to turn up for the match. Actually didn't really choose, only followed Joel=P So, this morning I turned up early for service, found a chair and sat down. Joel and Jolyn were having some programs with the kids, so cannot accompany me. Kind of lonely, but was later joined by Faith. Today's preaching was about money and how we should handle it the Christian's way. Then sang a lot of songs, but I was frequently out of tune. Also, had a few gastric attacks this morning. Luckily it was on and off ones, so not very bad. After that had lunch with the soccer team players, then sat on FuWen's car to JuYing secondary school. I was among the start line. Slide a lot, but maybe too long never play in that boots le. I had many injuries, particularly on my right foot. I didn't play well today, not good in that position, because I every time got the tendency to go forward. It was like 40 minutes before I got substituted off, because I heard there was only 5 minutes left after I came off. What an experience. At half-time, the score was 3-3 draw. My mistake contributed to one of the goals. =( Luckily at the end of the match, it was 6-4. We won! So happy=) Then Joel's godpa sent me and Daniel Lee home since we both live in Tampines. Slept on the car, and finally reached. Had instant chicken congee for dinner. Basically that's all for today.

Last OGL session

Date: 16th February 2008 It's finally up-to-date. Today's the last Saturday we are having OGL session. So basically, I reported to school as per normal school days. Got many briefings today and did some cheering. Today I wasn't that high, and didn't much cheer. After that, I met up with the many Secondary 4 classmates to go to Mrs Pong's house together. It was really a good gathering. At her house, we sat outside the corridor, because a lot of people visited her and the house was pretty packed already. Outside the house, we did some TJ cheers, then did a little recap on the mass dance, and basically chatted a lot. Had a few arm-wrestling, and discovered my arm strength hadn't improved as much as I wanted it to be, so I'm seriously gonna work harder on it. After that we went to the arcade ti had two games of street basketball before BaoHui's mom came to fetch me and Joel home. Joel had to go to the airport, yet again, to celebrate the grandma's birthday. After he alight, BaoHui was like asking me whether I wanna go watch Jumper if it was free, because the parents withdrew at the last minute. But I was reserving my movie session with her. So cannot, but I helped her to come up with many names whom she could ask. So the whole journey was basically surrounding the topic on who should she ask to go with since she has 2 extra tickets. Unfortunately, we reached before the discussion was over, so she had to help herself. Upon reaching home, one of my uncles came and he chatted with my dad. Well, cold war with my dad was still on. So, I didn't really talk a lot. Had a little superficial conversation before heading off to my room. Took out the tin which contains all the notes that I've received since last year and re-collect the kind of feeling I experienced through back then. For instance, my birthday last year. So many memories. I simply love reading letters, as in those written by people with thoughts and concern and all in it. It's always good to know that you are somebody in someone's heart. Then I read the letter and hugged destiny also. Love is never easily angered was part of the quote, and I shall work on that! =) It was before long before I dozed off, and had a long nap before coming on again today to clear all my debts to blogger.com=P

Packed schedule

!5th February was Friday, also Yesterday. I had very few lectures that day, and a mass PE, which we ran 2.8km. Then did some chin ups and many weird physical training, including a set of push-ups divided into four sub-sets where you have to go to the one indicated by the teacher and hold it there until he gives command for the next. *Super tiring* Friday's always a short day, so the school ended at 1230? So we sat at the canteen and chatted for a while. Got to meet a new friend, Li An, if I'm not wrong. Yup, she has the name similar to that famous film-director, but pronounced with a weird Caucasian slank. She's really talkative and she simply can't stop talking, and it's the very extreme kind. It was to the extent when everyone had finished their meal, hers was still as full as uneaten. Another instance, was when you talk about life and all, she can tell you great things, as in big things but not necessarily great=P. After that, we had 2 hours of basketball games. It's always more restricted playing games with girls. I mean, I'm a guy and they are girl, and I don't really like to.. er... bully (If that's the right word. Those who know me well enough should get what I mean=)) So I got banged and banged and banged by JinYue, and there wasn't much thing I could do then. Overall sentiments, I'm the only runner in the game, and Wei Tung the only shooter, while the rest just playing around. There was this particular player whom I'm pretty unhappy with, because she held on to the ball each time she gets it and complained if anyone marked her, which supposedly was one of the essentials of a defender? After that I went for OGL briefing, was really pissed off by the SCIP who taught the mass dance. She was like so demanding and kept saying that she wanted this and she wanted that. Then, I was like, "what the hell!" Luckily I didn't stayed for too long, before going off for rock-climbing. I was really late for that, so I skipped doing warm ups which in the end I regretted a lot, because I had pumps in my forearms which restricted me from so much more climbing. After that we were accessed on the rope tying, mine didn't go that bad, except that few comments which the guy (Philip's the name if I'm not wrong) gave. We had captain's ball after that, where we won because one of the better players from the senior group joined us, and he made the difference. =) There was once when the ball flew out and hit the discipline master's car while he was driving out, and everyone was like, "Mr Tong! Mr Tong! Mr Tong!" And there was another time when one of the senior fell on my leg and my knee was crushed onto the ground. Then I bleed a lot. Omen* By the time we end, it's already passed 2000h, which I'm supposedly to report to whitesands for the leadership program. However, it was so late already, so me and Sean decided to give it a miss. Since both of us were having early morning ORL and SCIP stuffs the next day, and WeiLiang gave his approval. So once I reached home, tiredness overcame me, and once again I had a long sleep, consecutively the 3rd one.

Velentine's

14th February was Valentine's. It was one of the happier days after new year, because the fonder heart finally gets to be relieved a bit of the tension caused by the thoughts. That particular morning I stayed up until 0330h to prepare her present. Wanted to give her the best Valentine's=). That morning in school I had many free periods, and I received many candies and chocolates from my friends- CG-mates, ex-classmates, school mates etc. And all of them came with a notes, with some wishing me and clone all the best. Yup, I hope we work out well too=). Thanks guys, I felt your blessings for us. Time claws during the period of anticipation. So as we the time passed, I became more and more nervous. Until the last period, when Biology was finally over, all my CG-mates were like, " Happy dating!", "All the best, Tiong Wei!", " Good luck, Tiong Wei!" "Have fun, Tiong Wei!" I mean it's pretty obvious because I've been carrying that big bag full of Rojak gifts, meant for her. By the way, I met my Angel that day. She happened to be my OGL's primary school classmate, so I got her number and messaged her. She didn't reply, but called me when I was having Chemistry test. Luckily mine was in silent mode, unlike my CG-mate's. He even accidentally switched it to speaker mode, and his phone was like blasting, " Hello, may I speak to YuNing?!" Then, everyone was like laughing? Finally met up with her. Fondness was followed by bliss. Being able to be beside her simply makes my day. It was Valentine's, our first one! We didn't go to any nice nice place, but instead only had a simple celebration. We simply sat at the park near the house, and chatted. Had the longest chat history with her. Exchanged gifts and stuffs, and sent her home. That day was the birthday of Destiny, her replica.

4 posts

13th February was a Wednesday. School stared late, and I went out late too, so late that I'm almost really late for school. It's been so many days back that I've forgotten what happened exactly during those days, so I shall just blog all for all four days in this single entry, based on the remaining vague memory of them and the messages in my inbox, as well as my time table for lessons. !3th February, Wednesday. That was a day before Valentine's, and that had been the second day I've never seen her. As the saying goes, "distance made the heart grow fonder", so that's exactly what I wanted to achieve. I really do miss her a lot though, and that's how it works I guess. When you miss someone more, the more you think of that person, and the more you want to see that person, and the fonder you are of that person. Wednesday had contact time, so school ended early, but we had to take a whacky photo with our direct seniors for some friendship day activity. My mortal's in that CG, so I was kind of like keep looking at her? Haha. By the way, one really intersting thing happened that day. Gavin got misled by me into believing that his mortal is Michelle Mak, when his mortal was Michelle Leow. Well, I didn't know it initially either. So he was like had been sending the present to the wrong person all the time? And when the real identity's out, I actually tried to defend myself by saying that, if (ru guo) his angel was Mak, she's quite pretty what. And guess what's the pissed Gavin's reply? "Ru Guo, Ru Guo, Wo Hai Ru Hua leh!" Haha, funny right? Afternoon, we had OGL's mass lecture session, and it was dry- dampen the spirit of a lot of us. And Sendy was like saying, " take out your notes to copy down notes!" I was like, "wth, notes to become an OGL?"

Energy level: recuperating

I am back again, after a long day. School's was as tiring as usual, especially when sleep deprivation is overcoming my body fast. It' not helping much, serious. As what was mentioned in the previous morning-entry, I skipped the first lesson. Then, in the worst state of mind, I had many other lectures and tutorials after break. One of them was Chemistry lecture, and the nodding-off was becoming so often that I think the lecturer noticed. Fortunately I wasn't the only one, and he was enjoying a good mood I guessed, so instead of scolding and nagging, he actually joked about it, about how the black heads (the top of the head was facing him when we nodded off) are going to haunt him tonight. After that, when we were about to leave, I noticed a small commotion at the back of the lecture hall. A cat had somehow managed to barged its way into the hall, and some who were afraid of cats actually jumped onto the chairs, literally. Human-cat war? Haha. Then we had one of the most boring General Paper double-period of the week, which I didn't really notice what was going on during that. Had lunch, and today's my group's turn to do our presentation for Project Work, on leisure and pleasure and a wider adoption. We chose A cappella, which was pretty cool, because of how unfamiliar many people were towards it. Thus, the presentation begun. First segment was a mini showcase of A cappella performance- we sang happy birthday in the vocalist way. Sounded weird and many people laughed, but I thought it eventually became okay, which was so amazing=). Then presentation went on. Mine were the last four slides, two of which I had added the night before. They only gave me two slides=(. So somehow, I managed to stretch a little, with the four slides to go. Gavin's the one who really got the presentation going, while I just took advantage of the situation- build on the momentum, which turned out pretty well. "l'estremità" means the end on Italian, and I made that one of the slide. The effect was there because A cappella was originally an Italian word. I hadn't contributed much to the group, even during the discussion, and I guessed some of the group members weren't exactly happy with me. Reflection: I did the skeletal powerpoint which somehow provided something for them to follow through, and today I was kind of relief to see a few of my points in the presentation. Yup, not very much, but I did something okay?=P Then after that we had double-period Chinese Language Literature. Could have skipped it like I've mentioned, but I decided against it. Then I regretted about the decision soon. I dozed off in during the lecture numerous times, before getting caught by the tutor, and got targeted and shot with many sarcastic comments. Awful period of the day. Had group physical education after that. Didn't run today. We had long jumps to foundation the triple jump that the teacher taught. Am fine with slow ones, but once started to run, I lost all coordination and failed two times. Haiz. PE ended really early today, and I decided to do some running. Chee Leong ran along too. It was decided to be 5 rounds, but later reduced to 4, and I realise why I don't do well in long-distance take-offs already. My strides are too small, and I couldn't sustain long strides because my legs are kind of heavy. So I shall work on that, then perhaps the chance of making it to the top 10 next year will be greatly heightened? 3 signs that my body is collapsing:
  1. I dozed off practically every where I went
  2. 5km used to be alright for me, and now I'm having spins with 1.6km
  3. Gastric struck even when I'm having meals
I guess that's all for today.

morning post

Today's a secial day, a special tuesday to be exact. I've long wanted to drop the Chinese Language Elecive Program, but has yet to execute it until today. Today is the first time I'm skipping China Studies in Chinese, and I might evenbe skipping the double lesson of Chinese Language Literature in the afternoon. Shall see how later. Hm... Well, so now is the free period, and I've just finished transferring the final final piece of powerpoint to Feng Rui's laptop. Clone's busy with her own things at school, and she seemed to be struggling pretty much. Serious sleep-deprivation. My heart's aching. Hope to see her soon. Thursday fasteer come. Today's special, because this entry was blogged in the morning, under the Lecure theatre in my school. Instead of lessons, I'm doing this blogging, in case I might be busy or too tired to blog tonight.

Long long day; long long hug

I was too tired yesterday's night, that I quickly dozed off the moment I laid on it. Thus, today shall have a make-up entry, because it was one of the best days that I've had ever since the new year started. It was a Sunday, so there was church. It was the Chinese New Year, so there were ang paos. It was the eve of Joel's mom's birthday, so there was celebration. All fell on the same day, and we had an eventful weekend. This was the first time I turned up so early for church, because I've decided to meet up with clone first. She took quite a while, and the location was suddenly changed, so I almost lost my way again, as always. Then she turned up. Was wearing a jacket with a skirt, look really pretty=). But the box was so huge. She had baked two cakes for Joel's mom's birthday, because one of them failed. But it was after all her first cake, so I requested for it. It's a special cake, and it didn't look that bad. So we went to the second floor counseling centre and I helped her folded a bit of the stars, before heading to the hall for the service. Sleep deprivation didn't help, and there was a few times I almost dozed off during the pastor's preaching. My bad. After that, me and Joel went to look for clone at the same place again. Continued with the stars. There weren't enough to fill the bottle to the brim, but it was really unique present. Then, Jolyn called and I witnessed their cute conversation. They are such cute siblings, and I'm sure Joel's a good brother=) When Joel's mom finally reached, all of us had a slice of the cake, and it tasted really nice. Nice one, clone! After that, clone and me got a ride in pastor Steven's car to help carry the remaning one box home. I couldn't have it, because there wasn't proper package. Clone's house is really huge, about the size of my second uncle's, and it was really nice, except that her dog didn;t seem to like me a lot. Then, we took the train to airport terminal 3 to meet up with Joel and family for lunch. That was the first time I had lunch with their family. So nice. But on the train, many other girls from the church saw me and clone, and our scandal started from there. We managed to find them despite the size of the place. The portion sold there was really huge, and clone and me couldn't finish. Thus, we had to waste food. I told her after that that maybe we should just order one and share next time. Leaving the food court, we approached the Departure hall to do some T-3 exploration. I was the tour guide because I've worked there before. Then we went to Dian Xiao Er, some chinese restaurant with really nice layout, after thta we went to the Kidz place to see the elmo which were so cute. Nevertheless, they can't be any cuter than us. The lot of us, 4 teenagers of average age 16 actually surrounded the television set there to watch Spongebob Square pants. So cute right? After that we went to Pasir Ris whitesands to get something. Clone got hers and I got mine, while Joel and family parted with us to go to the fairprice. So there were only the two of us together. Loitered for a while, before seeing clone home. She was really very busy girl, compared to her, I'm just too slacking. I went home, had a quarrel with dad, and he wanted to heck me with a chopper. My life's in danger now, haha. A cold war was launched and I was disowned verbally. But the actual thigns were still unknown. Then I went out again to buy things. Spent a lot on valentine's to make her happy. Yup, it's gonna worth it so much.=)

The 3rd day

Today is the third day of Chinese New Year. After two days of intense visitation to houses of relatives, we were finally free today, and thus, able to draw and plan our own programs. By right, morning was scheduled to be a visitation to Cheryl's house, but to be met with a last minute change of plan. Nevertheless, KengChiaw still came to visit today. My dad gacve him an Ang Pao=P He was here to learn some handicrafts from me for the coming Valentine's. So sweet right? While he's making it for his mortal, I'm also doing similar things for my special someone, whom kind of disappointed me times after times today. I dislike today! =( But anyways, those things weren't easy, and we struggled so much. Thus, whoever receives them, please do appreciate our effort, yea? Though it may not look very nice. Around noon time, we met up with Joel and had lunch together. Of course, I chose to skip lunch, because I was pretty sure there would be food at Mrs Tan's house. Chatted randomly for a while, and took bus to Pungol to change to the Northeast line, which then took us to Buangkok. The place is pretty 'ulu' and deserted? First impression of the place was pretty empty and quiet. Yup, rare place to be found in Singapore. Met Jonas and Kah at the station, which was later joined by Xiu Ling. New town, foreign place, so map was our best friend. But we were never good with it, and almost got lost. Fortunately, Jonas realised and corrected our drawn-out route to the location. So we walked on and finally reached that place. Mrs Tan's unit was very nicely renovated. I love the layout, especially the small room which was set aside by some glass panels to form a little study room. We casually chatted for a while, then the guys isolated themselves in that small room for another while, before merging back with the bigger group. In between, a little episode set in, a funny one. The kitchen was also separated from the other rooms using a transparent glass door. It was so clean that it's presence is easily forgotten or unfelt. Mrs Tan had already warned us before hand about the kind of threat the passage possessed, but the girls weren't aware. So while we were playing games in the room, we heard a loud bang and the next thing we saw was that Lynn had already walked into that piece of glass. Hurts* But instead of standing up to help, the lot of guys were laughing uncontrollably in that same particular room. We were bad!!! =P, but it was really hilarious. Then I partnered Joel in one of the games. Nice to be partnering him again=) After that, all of us took the bus to Changi Airport. Joel had a birthday dinner to attend, me and Keng Chiaw wanted to get presents for Valentine's, while the rest followed. I bought 3 slices of chocolate fudge for Joel's mom and his god-brother, because I seriously didn't know what to get. So back I was, at that shop I'm ever so familiar with- Cocoa tree. Bought many things to make something, and Kah an Keng bought their share too. After which I went home, had dinner and slacked for a while before coming on. Today was never a good day if I were to consider, because so many things happened, and most of them are unhappy things...

New year not so happy

Today was the second day of the Chinese new year. Hence, like all the previous years, today's travel plan covered two places- Hougang and Lavender. Visitations were never fun. The only thing which kept me alive was the Ang Paos. The absence of my sister there, of course, didn't help a bit. At 1500h, we decided to leave. Things were becoming dry for the both of us- me and my mom. Then my mom convinced me that there was the availability of bus service 81, which would bring us home directly. And to think that I actually believed her, for the very fact that her sense of direction was never good. Thus, in the end we got lost, and argument set in. She turned the spearhead on me for rejecting to take the other available service- 72, because I knew I would definitely get dizzy if I compromised. I've always have this slight motion sickness in enclosed land transportations. So in the end, we took the northeast line, my initial suggestion. Luckily, I didn't rebuke her, or the ambiance would still be as stern even until now. I got off at Tanah Merah, while my mom continued with the journey back home. I felt apologetic for not being able to accompany her home, so I treated her extremely nice before I left. Met up with clone, and slacked about for a while, before I went home. At home, my body finally couldn't cope anymore, and I dozed off, only to wake up 2 hours later. If I hadn't woken up, perhaps all these would not have happened. Let's hope the thing would turn out just right.

Happy Chinese New Year

After a sleepless night, I finally dozed off in the morning. Stared sleeping from 0700+ until 1100h+ when elder sister came for visitation. Just walked around, talked and all. Forgot about the details already, but I remember watching this violent video on the web- the happy tree friends kind. He's only barely 10years old, but is already exposed to such violence. I hate to admit this but even with a small age gap of 7 years, I sense the kind of gap between the two generations. Darren, be more refined ok? =) Then, I preened myself a little, before going to the various houses of the aunties and uncles for visitation. Sister didn't come with us, because she's forsaking the visitation for the double pay at work. She thinks too highly on money already=P. And I wore the OP shirt I got with clone the day before. Matched it with the blazer I got for prom last year, and the outcome-Not too bad, yea? Now that I'm looking at the same picture, I think it would probably look better, unbuttoned=). Shall try it next time. First stop was the house of the distant uncle of my dad, my grand-uncle. He was at alone at home with his wife. They are without children, except for one fostered daughter, so sometimes it hurts to see them. They are like so lonely. So I swear I will probably have kids when I'm married. Senior life with kids would be so enriching and fulfilling. They conversed with my mom in Hokkien, which I barely understood. Hence, I could only watch the Taiwanese Variety on the TV featuring the comedy version of the Justice Bao. Kind of funny. After a while we proceeded on to the second stop- my dad's cousin's, my uncle also, house. There were already some people who had come earlier than us for visitation, one of whom is an Indonesian, whom we mistook for a maid at first, and was stunned when she gave us AngPaos, only to realise that she was the secret wife of my other uncle. The third house which we visited was like the central area for the entire Koh-family-- my dad's eldest brother, my uncle's, house. I was bored there, because i wasn't exactly close to my cousins and my sister wasn't around. So, I decided to chat with one of my uncles- my favourite amongst all, my forth uncle. But contents were pretty limited, so in the end overcame by tiredness, I lied there for a little nap. My mom was tired too, and she fell asleep. So my auntie was like asking us to go home and rest first, which we agreed to quickly. So tired* However, amazingly, once out of the house, energy begun rushing back into me and once again, I'm charged! Bought Mcdonald's meals for late-lunch. By the time we reached home, sister had already come home from work, whining about the pain on her sole. I had the fillet-o-fish, and soon after I dozed off. One thing I learnt about myself today- I sleep readily in enclosed rooms. When I woke up, it was already 1900h+. Had the remaining twister fries for dinner because appetite wasn't particularly good. After which, I came online again. Surfed the net to look for inspirations on how to celebrate the coming Valentine's. It's gonna be so fun!

Shopping

Clone met up with her friend today to celebrate the birthday. Such coincidence that the eve and the birthday fell on the same day. Then after that was the first official date we went on after clone-ship was established. Bu I was so tired that I dozed off after bathing, only to wake up dazed 30mintes later. The location was originally fixed at Bugis, but was eventually changed to Tampines, because my tired body was reluctant to travel that lengthy distance. Sorry for the sudden change of plan yea? I was having so much troubles matching my clothes, because they were running on really short supply. In the end, I still decided to wear the OP shirt. I was feeling a little guilty because on both occasions going out with clone, I've been wearing the shirt my ex bought me. But still, I wanted to look good, and not let her down. So I decided to wear it still. After all, I've already decided to part with the past, because clone is all I want now. Finally I met up with her. She looked different in her outfit, more mature, but still very pretty=). So, together we strolled around between Tampines Mall and Century Square. It was the last day before New Year starts, so most of the nice clothes were already either out of stock, or short of sizes. So, the first hour went without any purchase. The other factor was that I was pretty sick of wearing those long-sleeves and those non-tee shirts. This time round what I've in mind is simplicity. All I wanted was to get some simple Tee and shirts. So, we walked around and chatted. I just love talking to her, though awkwardness do set in at times. Finally at OP, I managed to get hold of a pretty nice white Tee and a Bermuda. Of course, the pair of Bermudas is not meant for visiting, but the tee is. I'm planning to match it with the blazer I got for my prom last year. Shall take some pictures later. Then we went on to look around. Clone wanted to get many presents for many people. One of whom is Joel's mom. Candle thing and a cake, all D-I-Y. So sincere right? So I accompanied her to fairprice to get the necessary materials, though it still fell short of some becaue some shops were closed really early on the eve. After that, we went to Fila to get some polo-Tees. This time she stood by me. Back in OP I wanted to ask her for some advice but she was so far away, either looking at her own things or on the phone. Haiz, sad right? But this time she was with me. So exchanged opinions, and efficiency was greater. We both agreed that I looked better in white, so IO got a white one. The salesperson later told us that they are having a promotion, and any subsequent piece would be sold at a much-discounted price. Thus, I decided to get clone one as well. Had some difficulties choosing it for her, but eventually we chose the female version of the same exact design of mine for her. Or rather, I decided to. So, that was our first couple clothes<3> At B1, Clone spotted a stall selling MuaJi. Somehow, and for some reasons we were talking about MuaJi yesterday, and complaining about how long we haven;t had that, and today we saw it. So, I decided to buy one to share it with clone. If I'm not wrong, the conversation was about some night market then MuaJi, I forgot already. So today we had it, and the auntie was asking me to buy the remaining one box of MuaJi for my family, Thinking of how long they haven't had MuaJi too, like me, I decided to get it for them. Soon, it was 1500h, and clone had to leave because she needs to be home by 1600h to help out with the preparation of the reunion dinner. No matter how unwilling I was, I'm still very appreciative of her company. Thanks for accompanying me out on such a special day, where it is usually reserved for the family. With that, I infer that you regarded me as a family member. Don't correct me if I'm wrong, because this inference sweetened my day so much. So I walked her up the slope before heading home myself, On the way, I met Joel Tong, who had just came back from Parkway. It had been quite long since I last saw him=) At home, I slept for what seemed like 0400h? Then, I woke up, and had the reunion dinner at 2000h, and my big brother returned home with two of his friends at arounf2200h. This was the first time he has come back for reunion dinner after like 5 New Years. Very long right? Yup, chatted with him a little, then at around 0000h, we had the praying thing to do. It's the family traditions, and we do that every year, just like clone's annual routine-visit to the orchard. Yesterday's the New Year's eve, and I've finally succeeded to shou sui already, after 16 years of attempts.

The eve

Today was the eve of Chinese New Year, so there was this celebration going on in school. The day's events included a 5.1 kilometres road-run for guys, a 3.4 kilometres run for girls, and another of a different distance for the staffs. The day didn't begin smooth. I was beaten after a restless night, and I barely managed to reach school on time. At first, I went to the bus-stop as usual, and Shuhaddah came along too later. We chatted a bit, and that was when I realised that I had forgotten to bring along the number tag for the race. Hence, I ran home, literally ran, and took the pice of blue fabric, representative of Alpha (Zephon)'s blue. By that time, it was already 0700h and school starts at 0725. Learning of the plight I was in then, and the likelihood that I would be late, I took a bold move to go and take the train. Bedok's station was quite a distance from my school, but that was the only way to not to be late at that point of time, because even if I had taken a cab then, it would most probably get choked in the heavy traffic. Thus, train was indeed the only way out. When I reached Bedok, it was already less than 5 minutes to 0725h. I dashed, and along the way came other TJ-cians who shared the smae plight as me. Some ran, while some hurtled. Luckily, we managed to make it on time, right on the dot. At least New Year's not ruined by any reprimands. However, I kind of strained my calf's muscle while speeding to school, and I've already lost a great deal of water through perspiration and panting. Soon, the race started. The girls started first, and the top runner used only slightly more than 15 minutes to complete 3+ km. That was very fast, in fact, faster than some of us guys! I was impressed. It was followed by the teachers, then finally it's our turn. I sacrificed myself at the beginning of the race. My mentality was to boost the morale of all Alpha-ians so that they would be encouraged. Thus, I tried to go to the front, which drenched a lot of my eneerygy. So by the time, I reached the school's gate, I was overtaken by say, 50 people? The jog continues into the Lucky place- lucky heights, lucky view etc. This was actually some landed property area behind the school, and there were many slopes there. Downhill helped a lot, while uphill hindered a lot too. I had frequent stop overs everywhere, because stitches set in soon after we entered the lucky place. Bumpy journey though it was, I somehow managed to complete it within the top hundred. So, it was still pretty soothing to learn of it. Throughout, I was like keep encouraging those who have started walking to run on, and most of the time, I myself would pull over for a short break before continuing. Some might think I was being a extra, but instinct just happened to get me to do exactly what I did, and encoraging people sure made me feel good. With the last bit of energy I conserved with me, I dashed through the last stretch, and collapsed upon passing the finish line. "You are number 52." It was my positioning, disappointed though I was, I lied on the track motionless for a minute or so, before pulling myself up to rejoin my group. Cool race. I shall start training now, and I'm aiming to squeeze into the top 10 by next year! Alpha lost practically in most of the contests today, but we won most of the group-events as well. Wolves ferocious when alone, but deadly as a pack. We are the deadly wolf-pack. *Howl!* I'm still proud to be in Zephon!

Much vibrant day

Today started off with a message from clone. It was really heartwarming and touching to learn about the amount of love and concern people around us were giving us. Nevertheless, my body was still weak, because the night's sleep still wasn't enough to make up for the loss. Basically, I dozed off where ever I went. Bus, tutorials etc. Had a little commotion during CLL's double-period. I teased the teacher, and got multiple shoot-backs at from the tutor. I still had fun anyways though. At night, we went over to sister's house to have a reunion dinner in advance- advantage of big family (have more than one reunion each year). So stayed at Ang Mo Kio until roughly 2100h. Had steamboat and stuffs. Was really filling, and I love the seaweed from Korea. It was delicious! Then I watched Doraemon's last episode with my nephew at youtube, whci hwas later joined in by my sister. We all cried, because it was so sad when Doraemon had to leave Nobita in the end. For more details, find it out yourself, no spoiler here=) After that we went home. Mom said most of the markets will operate 24-h tonight before shuttign down for 3 consecutive days on the new year itself. So we decided to go for a walk- at block 201 area, which later extended into the Tampines Mart area, and then over to the fairprice area at the end of my house. So by the time we reached home, it's easily later than 0000h already. My sister treated me twister fries and she paid for the new year goodies- a total of 150 bucks. She's so generous! Thank you sis! Then I came home. Tomorrow's gonna meet my special someone again! So happy!=)

5th February

Now that I am so much behind time, and situation is not helping when the time is speeding off quicker each time. Yesterday was a typical example of how pressing life is for me at present. After the previous day's final boost, my motor had shut down completely yesterday. Something pleasant to learn about was the fact that the 2 most pressing tutorials were down already. Big accomplishment! Yesterday we had a biology presentation and received the Chinese exercise we had the previous week, aside from the usual tutorials and lectures. My voice was becoming even more coarse these days after so much cheering. I should refrain myself from excessive cheering, but my enthusiasm can't be helped. Fortunately, it didn't affect my presentation much too. In fact, the teacher actually praised my presentation despite my damaged vocal. During, CLL, we received back the worksheet we did last week. Most people got borderline mark, while I got 16/20, probably one of the highest. besides honored and ecstatic , it was an add-on struggle to the kind of subject-combination I am goinng to take up after JAE. After school, all the OGLs were to gather under Lecture Theatre 1 to do the mass dance. Yay, I fianlly mastered it=). Went to visit clone after that. She was sleeping and I woke her up. Evil me. Once I reached home, I dozed off almost instantly, because headache was setting in fast, and my body could not take it any more... I was sick...

Condensed entry

one picture during the amazing race
Yesterday we had the Orientation Group Leader program. It was really fun. We mocked everything that the Orientation Group members are going to go through during the orientation itself. We had Amazing race, and an in-school amazing game race. I led a lot of cheers, because I love cheering. Now that my throat is coarse, it was all because of the cheering. We had this long-hours of mass dance too, which made my legs ached from it. Nighttime we had the elections for clan master. Unfortunately, I lost. But fortunately, Zephon has gained a good leader Zephon to glory! Of course, it was awkwardness at first, but high-ness quickly set it, and I cheered for him. Theen Yew sexy or not?!? And he returned me with a Tiong Wei Sexy or not?!? All the other OGLs were cooperative, and cheered on. I was touched, and I was glad that I was recognised for my effort=) Glory to Zephon, Theen Yew, and all the Zephon-ians! I got this new cheer edited from Elmo's song. Personally I love it a lot, because it's so cute, but the others found it power-less and rejected it.
La~La~La~La~ La~La~La~La~ Zephon's song~
La~La~La~La~ La~La~La~La~ Zephon's song~ We got the music~ We got the cheers~ We're Zephon-ians!! Ah Wooooo~ (Howl)
Everything went well yesterday, except for some personal problems. It's aggravating. Fortunately, it's resolved now, and everything's back to normal already. I will abide to my promise to you, please be assured=) Mugging day Today was a Sunday. I finally got back a little of my much-deprived sleep. Skipped church and skipped rock-climbing, and I slept in late. Clone didn't go church too. Phew, refreshed and cool. What a nice day to begin with. So,, I went online and did my homework. Many tutorials to complete, and I was so much behind time. Chatted with Clone also, a major distraction from serious work. But, I just love talking with her=). She had a surprise for me and I loved it a lot. Woots! blogged somewhere else before coming over here to blog, so it's now already 0522 in the morning already. Shall see how I pull through the day later. Tired*

Replaced and forsaken

Today started off with a mass physical exercise. The guys had to run 4.4 kilometres to prepare for the nearing road run which involves a much greater distance of 5.1km. I tried to persevere and managed to run through the whole journey without stopping- up and down slopes, on and off roads. Total time taken was 24.31 minutes. A reasonable one, though my target was much lesser. I was the 7th in position and 2nd in class=) The rest of the day in school was dry. We had lectures and tutorials. When I realised that we would be able to bring outsiders into the school during the carnival, the first person who came into my mind was none other than clone, and of course the next would be him if we were still the same as before. Unfortunately, she turned me down. Perhaps I wasn't good enough to be acknowledged as hers. So for the entire of the whole carnival, I just wondered about in circles aimlessly, and coming back to the same place each time. It didn't feel good. Mates from my civics group had gone missing, and neither can I locate the dispersed OG members, and some were not in school, while others had gone to work. Sad, lonely. In the end, she decided that she might want to come, probably out of guilt. She would never wanna come under normal circumstances I guess. But it was still too late. Dampen spirit doesn't need any comfort. And my heart was somehow dead by then. Got to know she was gonna meet the friend, so ya. I was forsaken, replaced by a friend. So cool right... Never mind. But the worse comes when all other days with me comes with a "I need to go soon", but today was night all the way. Wow, had fun right? Good for you... On the other side, we had OG dinner at Pastamania at Parkway. I had the spicy chicken linguine and an expresso. I'm still sampling coffees, as in the western types. Expresso is still a little too bitter. The meal was filling, but I would very much prefer ham and sausage baked rice! Then I bought a hand-grip device to train up my forearms for climbing. Everyone was so fascinated by this that people started playing with it. After that, we went back on bus. Home sweet home. Today's conversation with her was never well-toned. And I guess the relationship is falling...=(
