Oral's down
Date:13th August 2007
Mood: Despondent towards the performance I put up during oral; tired after spendig such long time fiddling with this blog; helpless that my computer will be down soon (meaning I might not be able to blog for quite some time); worry that my sister will be back any time to see that I'm using her laptop stealthily.
Weather: It rained in the afternoon. Inspite of the fact that the sun had emerged and set, deep inside me is stll as cold and stormy as ever. A weather which symbolises desperation and helplessness.
Well, like what I have said earlier, today's incident couldn't be worse. I was not myself for the enire day. First, I kept telling myself that oral's on Tuesday that I was really convinced that it's really on Tuesday, but only to be reminded by my classmates and realised that oral was actually today. That has to be the only good thing out of today's series of unfortunate events.
Mdm Liu hasn't been in school for almost a week. I mean it couldn't be better without her, but then today's relief teacher simply lacks the x-factor to capture my respect. He hasn't got any dominance over the class and was simply conducting the lesson at his own pace, probably oblivious to our apathy towards that. It's really torturous, especially when I had no intention to listen, but yet am unable to do much about it.
Today's oral was at 2.30p.m. Hence, we thought we were supposed to attend the weekly assembly held in the hall. Well, I wanted to go there, for the sole reason that it's gonna be torn down in a matter of time. However, oral candidates are not allowed to enter, and so we were brushed out of the hall, almost mercilessly.
'There's no other feeling that could be worse than the mood of waiting.' Regarding this quote, I think that it would be most agreeable to change it to, 'there's no other feeling that could be worse and LONGER than the mood of waiting'. The 2-hours long of waiting seemed to have stretched to become 2 days when my bottom was aching from the amount of sitting I have to endure while waiting for my turn.
Yea, so dilly dally again, my turn came. I stood at the door waiting for the examiners to tidy up the marks of the previous speaker(Cui Shan, who spoke for almost 15minutes) and summon for my presence. Like I said earlier on, I wasn't too satisfied with my results, especially for the passage part because I stammered on numerous occassions and my tone totally went berserk. So ya, I don't expect muh from it. Then I had the picture discussion part, which I think I did reasonably well, inspite of the fact that majority of the points I have came up with during preparation was already out of the window by then. Following up was the conversation section, which I think I did the best amongst the 3. Well, the examiners were really kind and they asked plenty of questions aside from the given ones. So, yea, my contents were rather 'sumptuous'.
Back at home, I tried to modify my blog a bit, in hope of brushing the disappointment behind, but turned out to be another bigger disappointment when my computer died and my avatar screwed up. So, yea, hope today's the worse ever bah...Labels: A series of unfortunate event...
