Sunday, November 9, 2008Today's Sunday. Had wanted to go jogging with Joel in the morning, but the late night we had did not help at all. Joel's incapability to complete the challenges I've given him made me stayed up til late 1 in the morning to give him more and more challenges until we decided to call it a day. Alright I can't qualify for the challenges, enough said. But Joel's lacklustre performance which saw him gave his chances to complete the challenges away each time he was more into the game was (grr) loathy. You could have won wolfampton (if that's the way to spell it) 10-0, beat liverpool 3-0 and all. So despite waking up to my alarm this morning, I decided to go back to sleep, which proved to be the right choice to make. Later into the day, that energy was very much needed to see me through 2 geography assignments.So I slept in and woke up only at 730, bathed and as any usual Sundays, followed Joel's family to cab to All Saints. Had a very peaceful (but listless) morning, which was gladly joined by EeWen. Haha, her presence today was good. Haha, felt better with her around=). Today's worship was led by Aunty YiPeng, the best vocalist in the church. Haha, I'm super proud of her! And I like today's songs, some of which I was listening for the first time, but they were all very nice. Service was pretty much about being bold and do the things God told us to do, and everytime look at the God behind a purpose and not the person executing it. It's very relevant to all of us, especially when everyone is going to face Pastor Steven's departure in a matter of months. I pray that Pastor Ezeikel will bring us to greater heights! We had nooma for Poiema today, and I got to know that Poiema simply means "God's masterpiece" in Greek. That's like super cool! Nooma taught us to don't cling on to the past, and move on. This is again very relevant to us, particularly me. Yup, the best part of my life is yet to come. Live today as today (don't long for yesterday since it's already in the past), instead of waking up tomorrow and realise today is no longer today but has already become a yesterday. How relevant! Deqi was not here today, so today's discussion was very quiet and aimless. Apart from the first question, the discussion eventually ended up being digressed to some Christmas party's planning. Got very irritated by that and had wanted to leave. Luckily I didn't. Next time will try to be more proactive and improve bah. Regrets of the year 1)could have study harder, 2) could have been a better person. It was really hard to bring it out in words, like really, especially when someone was like right in front. Despite so much that I wanted to share, I only managed a very vague sharing. Let go and move on... After that, I left together with EeWen. Reached home, felt quite uncomfortable owing to the humid weather, took a bath, came online, and watched Kangeroo Jack on channel 5^^. I'm looking for that ending song which I didn't know the title. The chorus goes like this, "hey~ hey~ ey~, I want to know~ow, if you'll be my girl". Anyone who knows this song tell me k? But tiredness was creeping in stealthily, so unnoticingly that the next thing I know I was already in dreamland. Dozed off and woke up, until finally when my mom came home I went into the room to have a genuine nap. Sister came to pass me the poncho which I need for the camp in on the coming Tuesday. After that, I came online, and half-volunteered and half-invited into the planning committee for the Christmas party. Now committee consists of Faith, Jolyn, Jocylyn, Lydia, Jeremy, and me. Had a really long discussion while I multi-tasked with my first geography assignment, and the outline was finally roughly out. Geography homework instruction was that one of the DRQs got to be submitted by tomorrow. But I could not find the one that is supposed to be dued, so instead I did the other one. Then when I completed that one, the other one came out of nowhere, and I decided to complete it too. So now I've done quite a bit of my geography homework^^ Yay! Tomorrow's the first day of the congress. I hope the facillitator job would be fun and good. Wen Cheun and Nivia, I got to depend on you all already, because I know I'm gonna feel damn shack in 5 hours time. Now is already 2 am=P And tomorrow's long day does not only end with the congress. After that, I'm gonna have this meeting with the committee at Simei at 6. Gosh! Long long day, but I'm excited over all the little things that are coming up!
