Thursday, April 30, 20094 minutes 6 seconds. That's how long my copy of the song "Sweet Escape" lasted in my window's media player. The name suggested an escapade, a sweet one, but ironically I want to stay on for as long as possible. Heart-string was tugged- a sensation called nolstagia.Slightly more than a year ago, I was fortunate enough to be selected as an orientation group leader for orientation 2. Both Theen and me ran for clan master, fortunately or unfortunately, I lost to him. Haha, surely the sore persisted for very long. But now I'm just very glad for all that had happened. Theen's a really great captain, and the term's been so happening under him. As for the sore, well I think he deserved it so much more than I do now. =) If I had beat him, then probably I would have run for SC and go for the position of house captain, then I would not have been able to enjoy the thrill of this roller coaster ride as a 16th Alpha warrior. The term would have been a total different, for better or for worse. But one thing for sure, his presence would have been sorely missed, now that I've known what it would be like. Thank you theen, and thank you the rest of the 16th alpha hc, for making this term such an unforgettable and memorable one. 4 minutes 6 seconds, Gwen Stefani halted her singing. It's amazing how so many things are capable of triggering a Deja Vu. Zenith, Jumanji- it all seemed so recent. When I was barely a three weeks old amateur junior college student, perhaps trying a little too hard to break free from the protective cover that had been sheltering me for the past 1.5 decade. Now I'm glad to say, I've grown and matured, very much owing to this wonderful experience. A quote from Mat, "I've never felt so attached to a CCA/PDP before joining HC." No doubt, other people would have a different sense of attachment to other PDPs, but HC is my choice. The day before was SC's investiture. Exactly 3 weeks later, it will be our turn. Perhaps a little too cruel, but the passing of time couldn't be helped. Best is to make the best out of the remaining of it. Esti quoted a famous cartoonist, saying something like, "dont be sad because it has ended, smile because it had happened." Tracing back a few entries, my quote was "sad it ended; glad it happened".
