29th May 2008- the biggest, most happening, most meaningful, most well-likened day of 2008.It was the reunion of the Fantastic Five (the term came into use recently without a cause), referring to Baohui, Daniel, Bobo, Joel and me=)After a night of gaming, or rather FM-ing, Joel morning-called me as I've requested, only to realise that I was still awake. Half-reluctantly, I left my beloved Man Utd of the fantasy world and hurried out for that appointment, the one which all of us had been looking forward to since long long ago, but only able to realise it today. Of course, I washed up a little before that. I went to the ATM machine to get some cash and went over to the agreed bus-stop, but no one was there, I called Joel and he told me he might be late. Bus 17 usually comes pretty frequently, perhaps it was not his day (only the dawn 6-7a.m.), it did not. I wanted to wait for him only to realise two familiar figures waving to me from across the road. They were Daniel and Bobo. I quickly hurried over to join them and waited by the roadside for Joel to come. I was curious at first why Baobao wasn't there, but the curiosity was satisfied within minutes when Joel finally came and all of us boarded the van. She was in there! Baobao's parents were kind enough to give us a ride to Harbour front in their van. In the van, we did a little, or rather, a lot of catching up, and I got to know about Daniel's new ahem*. So much has happened huh? =P It was always nice to be able to catch up with good friends, especially your good friends, especially your besty gang, especially the F.Fs.From Harbour Front, we then took MRT to Outrum Park.

By the way all, if not most F.fs are road/direction idiots. At least, Baobao and me are. We did not really know how to get to the destionation. Fortunately, Joel brought a road-directory. Smart him, Kiasu him=P
the four of us (Joel's the camera man)
F.F reunite!
Here he is=)
After finding out the direction we got off at the next immediate stop, and came to a super run-down building.
"Later the building tear down already."
"Is the building still in use?"
"Did you all check the date at which the website for the restaurant was published?"
"Ya loh, later is many years ago de."
"Ya loh. later the restaurant already fold up le."
That was how bad the situation of the building looked. Even for the lift that we used to get up that miserable 7 floors was not at all sightly. It gives the feeling of Ah ma's home according to Bobo. However, within the restaurant was a different look. It resembled the 30s/40s Shanghai kind of GeTing which I saw in some TV serials. The small elevated platform for a stage especially gave me that feeling. Morning restaurant was empty, especially weekday morning. It might be good, though the ambiance was not quite right. A little too quiet. We got a table and started our Yum Cha-ing. The typical HongKong style pushcart kind of waitering. A lot of conversation was done in Canton and poor penguin, he couldn't understand a word. =P We took a few 'longs' of dim sum and started digging in. It was delicious! I especially like the seafood roll thing, I couldn't recall the name.
3 of us enjoying the reunion,
as well as the food=P
The F.Fs, friends forever=)
I realise I was the most picky because I do not take a lot of things- I don't eat pork rib, I don't like pork, I don't like bao, I don't like cold tea, I don't take green, etc. Picky me. Then we had a toast to our friendship:
Hail to F.F reunion,
hail to friends forever,
hail to Fantastic Five=)
Cheers!
In total we spent 78 bucks for a breakfast, my most expensive breakfast ever. But again a pinch of salt in light of our priceless friendship=) A pity Bobo had to leave early because he had chori practice. He flagged a flat and off he went. Initially we wanted to go with him, but cabs don't take five people nowadays, do they?
the remaining four of us then went off to Pool Fusion at Bugis to continue of reunion activity, where we got lost again. Even after we found the place, we were still too early- 10 am, and the shop had not opened. So we went off to Bugis street where Baobao treated us Bubble Tea, and later took another cab to Baobao's house. Thank you Baobao for the drink, though mine tasted really awful. Attn*: Do not ever ever order chocolate milk tea in Bugis street! Other flavors were alright, but never chocolate milk tea!
Baobao's aunty opened the door for us, and very much to my amazement, she still remembered us. "One is not here," she said. Even she knows about the F.F
It's been many many months since we last went to Baobao's house, and it's just so familiar and home-like=P We went in to her brother's room where Joel underdog-gingly beat Penguin in PS2 PES 2008 (this was what Joel wrote in his blog, I don't know what game it's called=)). Then. we had a game of mahjong. I still remember how, and penguin's beginner's luck reminded me of the first time I learnt mahjong, also at baohui house with Bobo, baobao and Joleen. So nostalgic. End of the day, baobao was the biggest winner, I won 10 bucks (not real money), and Joel the biggest loser=P. Then, Joel had to leave to meet his mom. Before that, he beat me 8-1 for that very same game he played with penguin=(. Thus, it was left with only 3 of us. Mahjong was not quite possible, and I can tell penguin was not very keen to play mahjong anyway. Therefore, me and him played that PES game while Baobao played audition, practise piano, played mindsweeper, use her lappy etc. etc. Alright she was bored and we neglected her. Sorry baobao=P I managed to beat Daniel twice, and he best me countless times=P
Ivory Coast 3-2 Ghana
Porto - Celtic (won in penalty shoot-out, same as Joel's)
Luckily, I didn't use Man Utd at all=P
At night, I continued to play my FM, and continue well into the fledging career as Man Utd's manger, Claus Tsuki, a fine season=)
