Today's Wednesday. After today, everything about campaigning will be over, and when the result comes out in 2 days time, there will be no more house committee nominees, but rather the new batch of house comm MEMBERS. No matter who gets in and who doesn't, this group of people really rock! It's the best group I've ever worked with before. This morning I called for a HCN meeting, first time without the seniors, totally us-initiated. We met up at the old Alpha place- the scope, to discuss all the necessities the seniors asked of us. First, we have to standardise the way we walk in. Initially, they wanted it to be like the student council's formal style, but I was like strongly against it. Somehow the idea of what happened during orientation 1 just struck me. We are going to stomp in like one of the Alpha cheers. *stomp stomp, clap*, *stomp stomp stomp stomp, clap*, *stomp stomp clap*, *stomp stomp stomp stomp, clap*... Cool entrance, yea? I just love it! Then subsequent ideas about how we are going to stand in the afternoon emerged, like every four speeches we are going to change one pose. Throughout the whole morning, I was so excited. Then afternoon came. For some reason, I had this very bad stomachache, but I managed to pull through. On to the stage we went, and there was a little twist. The in-charged had not arranged for the AVA, so we had to do our speech without the microphone. For me was still ok, at most I only had to forsake my entrance music for my dance, but I think Asheem's and Matt's were bad, because they were really going to sing. Nevertheless, it turned out well. As was planned, we did our poses and stuffs. Made it less formal somehow, my motive=). I was like the first few who went out. When I was waiting for my turn, I panicked a little, because somehow I forgot how to start, and it was like a goner if I don't recollect that piece of memory, somehow. Luckily, it came back. And out I went, blew the mouth-piece of my instrument, but didn't work well at first. The sound only came out at the second attempt. I was really nervous. Then, I started shaking my butt, and sang my song. It was edited from the chorus of the theme song of the cartoon, Shaun The Sheep. The number of people who turned out was pathetic, and what's worse was that I knew very little of the people there. Meaning my supporters didn't turn out, or perhaps I didn't even have one to begin with. Hence, when I heard wolf-howl when my speech was made, I felt kind of shocked and relief. The positive kind. After all the nominees and the potential house captains had completed the rally, it was the voting time. All the nominees were like *phew, it's over*, and we begin doing some cheers on the stage. I led some, and amongst them, there was of course my favorite one- the one we did for entrance. Cool experience. After that, we got to vote also, and Charmine and Krystal gave all of us candies. Before we went home, we actually went around the school to remove the posters we have put up during the campaigning period, and *poof*, so fast it's over already. I'm going to plan some outing for all the HCNs, probably to the Zoo, since I haven't been there for like almost a decade.
