Today's the much-anticupated Staff's Day (we used to call it Teacher's Day though. That's the modernisation of language I guess). I missed my earlier bus, so was kind of late for the meeting which I called. Luckily, Crystal was there to save the day! Crys, you rock=) Original plan was to wear our new house shirt, but our DM's insistence made that not possible. As a result, we reported to school in mass PE tee.
According to him, today's ACES day too, so first event f the day was mass dance. How I miss orientation. Only regret- they danced Dooms instead of Sweet Escape for the couple dance, but apparently not many people knew how. So in the end, most of us were just watching the SCs dance.
After that, we changed into out house tee, and dispersed to our respective classes for bonding session. The girls chatted with the our ex-civics tutor, Mrs Cheong, the posers played cards, while the guys just sat in the middle row eating and chatting. But bonding wasn't meant to be like this. So I suggested us playing games. We played "concentration", "Give me tempo, ready, go!", "Froggy jumps into water" etc. All the nice nice bonding games! I like.
Soon, bonding session was over, and we went over to the auditorium for today's concert. Wen Shin and Melony were the emcees and they did a really good job. Background story was some "who wants to be a millionaire" plot. There were featuring of the baby photos of some of our tutors, guitar concert, featuring of the new mass dance. This year's mass dance was kind of easier I think. But the climax still lied in the performance put up by the new batch of tutors.
Enjoy:
Our new GP tutor acted as the Hippo and the new PE tutor acted as that dog. Their actions were an exact replica of that of the video's, and it was really nice! After that all Alpha met up in the HC room and set off to give our cards and presents to Ms Thangam and Mr Ng. Mr Ng has really cute children! Then, all the NAS TJC students went back to Ngee Ann. Before entering, we detoured to T-mart to get the some random stuffs for the teachers. Kah called it the white elephant. Personally I like Miss Toh's present the most- a shark budaoweng. Spent some time in the familiar school of four years, took photos with friends, and collected my much-delayed testimonial. Shall get the photos from Joel sometime soon. Afternoon, we had soccer. So long since last had it. I went to meet Joel and Daniel at blk 201 where they were having their lunch. I wanted to get some fries from the western food stall, but even after having repeated myself 3 times that I want fries in both chinese and english, the person gave me a set meal of half a chicken. Wa! Fattening!
Soccer was fun initially, but soon I became tired and my body began to ache. It must be that I hadn't been working out for too long. What's worse was the headache that set in soon after. I don't know why, but the ex-scar that I've gotten from having cracked my skull at the beginning of this year has been hurting this few days. Haiz, should not be a problem though. It was superficial injury according to the doctor back then. Went home at 5, and took a long long nap. I want a rest. At night, did the timeline for next year's function with Calvin. It was very productive! MSN conferencing does work!
