Sunday, August 10, 2008Today's post's gonna be an early one. Hopefully at night I would be able to find the motivation to start work. 2 days had already passed, and the third is coming to an end soon, but practically nothing has been done. I'm feeling bad, maybe a little scared too. Today is Sunday. Mom woke me up at around 6 to bathe, and I went back to sleep after that. Joel called me at 7+ to give me the weekly wake up call. I woke up, but lazed around on the bed, until I eventually dozed off again. Faith called a few times, but I didn't catch it because the volume was turned down. It was only her 5th call that I picked up. So today I was kind of early for service. Met Joel and family outside the church and went in together. Joel had agape duty, so I had to attend service alone. I sat at the row in front of James and Daniel, half-expecting someone whom I know to come and sit with me later. But until service started at 9, the attendance was still kind of bad. Had nice songs for worship again. Soon after, worship ended, and when I looked around, the attendance suddenly boostered. So it became good. Today I met a new friend, or rather a new brother- FuDa, whom I later got to know that he was also from TJ. He came to sit 2 chairs beside me. Today's service was about tongue (speech). Pastor Derrick preached about the devastating effects a simple comment can give, such that it can either booster a relationship, or strain it. When I was attending it, it kind of struck me suddenly that "heys, my words had hurt people too!). It's just so amazing how God speaks to His people. Service was marked its end with the song "testify to love-Avalon". After service, I chatted with FuDa for a while, befor setting off to Tampines Mall for Poiema's very own move outing. We watched Journey to the centre of the earth I thoght the best such movies can get to is an okay standard, but it was really good. Didn't feel the 1.5 hours duration because the flow was so compact. Good show! And and and, I teared when Shawn was at Max's side. That was only a minor portion though. And the firefly bird was cute. And the aventure was cool. Alright, I give the movie 4.5 stars out of 5. After the show, me, Joel and Sarah made a move first while the rest wanted to go out.I did a good job making myself scam fast, so it was good.
