Friday, May 9, 2008My thoughts: 9th May 2008. From today onwards, this will be a very special day to all of us in our JC life, because this is exactly when when an entirely new chapter unfolds, when the perfect 10 set off on to the what-used-to-seem-to-be-so-distant foreign land. We started off with 17 people. It wasn't an entirely unfamiliar sight when we first met because majority of the nominees, I've already known them through cheerleading. It was only two days later when we went to Sarena's house for that group proposal. Sarena was still a stranger at that time, but that's how fast the bond within the 17 of us had grown. After that, we had numerous morning meet-ups where the seniors tried to feign strictness, but apparently they were not. They are all nice people (Alpha nominees were treated the best compared to other houses from what I've observed). These are all the experiences we have shared and accumulated, something which I thought could be described by only "rare opportunity". It was indeed some experience for all of us, to actually go around the school asking people to vote for us when apparently they do no know us, and to scramble and line up in the most uncomfortable way for fear of another scolding. Phay Key was my campaign partner and she got in too. I feel glad for her, but other pairs were not as fortunate. For most, only one managed to get in, and that was the tough part. Because so much had happened, and so much had been overcame, the bond between us was really strong. There were our friends, but number was a problem. A house can't possibly have 17 house committee members... At the same time while everyone mourned over the departure of the 7, the surge of excitement in me couldn't be suppressed too. It's up to us now, where we want to lead Alpha to The 10 of us plus the 1 'face'. My oath: 9th May 2008-the beginning of the legend- legacy reborned!Labels: The legendary 16th Posted by Judah at
