Saturday, August 16, 2008Today's Saturday. I still remember a while ago when Mr Quek called for a 'secret meeting' where this class outing was iniated, and today's the execution day. Mom woke me up early in the morning, but my body was too beaten to even abide. So I slept in until around 8 when I thought I should set off already. Thus, after bathing, I left to KC's bus stop. Waited for quite a while, and I stoned on the bus while him and KaiYang talked about Dota. Though I don't play that game, some of the stuffs they said sounded quite funny nevertheless.
As a result of Kah's dallying, we were kind of late, by around 10 minutes. Kah had his breakfast beforethe lot of us set off to rent bicycle. I only learnt how to cycle last year's year end, and it had not cycled ever since Dualthalon. So that phobia, and that trauma remained in me. I was really unconfident, and fearful that I might knock into someone again. Sendy suggested that I take the double seater instead, but that only gave me more stress. So in the end, I still settled with a single. I'm beginning to get the geese of it. Today I was somehow left on my own, thought some still waited for me. I followed Kah all the way. From the shop to one end of East Coast Park, and from that end to the other end. My butt's still hurting now after that ride. Kah kept asking me to stand, but I still need a lot more practice? Best thing is that I think I finally know how to cycle properly, because I didn't clash AT ALL! On two occasions I tried to stand, and I succeeded on the second, but still I need more practice. Anyhow, cycling for two hours kind of fun. The fact that half of it was done in the rain, with little obstruction on the trail made it even more enjoyable. After that, me and Kah went back to the shop to wait for the rest. Apparently, he and me had cycled too fast that we lost sight of the rest. So when we returned, they were no where to be seen at all. I tried looking for them at Mcds and the beach, but to no avail. Thus, we just waited there until they finally return. Attendance: Zen, Sendy, Alvin, Jina, Angelina, EeWen, Kah, KaiYang, ShengYa, Isaac and me=) Then we played a bit of card game in Mcd where the attendant approached us twice to warn us about playing cards in the public. So soon after we set off to the beach to play some beach volley ball. Alright, we weren't pro players, and if there were a net, 90% of the ball would not have gotten over to the other side of the beach. But this is only a game, so who cares?! As long as we had fun=) And then, I realise it was a big mistake to wear contacts to the beach, especially when we are playing games on the SAND! Sand went into my eyes so many times that I've already lost count of it, and it was really painful. But it rained soon after and it was a heavy downpour, so we sought shelter nearby. When the rain got less heavy, we went out to play again, but it rained again. This time even heavier, so we really had to stay in the shelter. Once again, rain go smaller, and the obstinate bunch of us insisted to go out and play again. We continued to play beach volley ball for a while before switching to captain's ball with freeze bee It was really fun, but really tiring. I like that game=) Soon, me, Kah, Sendy, and Zen had to leave in a cab to go to White Sands to get the remaining necessities- charcoal and things like that. Chatted quite a bit, or at least heard them chat quite a bit on the ride there. I was not in the talking mood, but it was nice=) Then we bought our stuffs and set off to the park. I set up the fire with Kah and people. That was the don't know how many times ever since I helped out with the setting up of the barbeque fire. But apparently some people weren't satisfied with it, and when Lenny came, he set up an even bigger fire, which burnt the aluminum foil soon after. But it was a good fire nevertheless. Good job Lenny! So they cooked the food. I helped out a little, and before long, I went to sit at a side to slack. Ate a bit of the food, and the chicken chop was super delicious. At night, we chose out class tee design, and took a class photo before leaving the place. Attendance: Me, Kah, KaiYang, ShengYa, Sendy, Zen, Isaac, Muhammad, Lenny, Audrey, Jina, Angelina, BoonSwan, Chuwen, EeWen, Mr Quek, Mrs Quek, Roy, Leon, and ChengLiang.
