Friday, May 9, 2008Thanks for the sufficient amount I slept the previous night, this morning was a real refreshing one. But studies were compromised. I had math test today, but I didn't even take out my book last night. Hence, I studied on the bus when going to school, and true enough that gave me a super bad headache. After that, we had many lectures and tutorials and of course, that one test. In between, I was informed to tell the rest to meet up after school for the disclosure of results for the nomination, without the venue. Thus, for the entire day I was bombarded with messages from Theen Yew and the rest to check if the venue was revealed. In the end, I decided to meet up with the people first since Trinity kept procrastinating, and that was exactly what he messaged me later after I relayed down the message. We hung around at the old Alpha-ian place, the scope until the Indian performance came to use the place. Then, we hung around under LT1 (the supposedly Atrium, but the TA students don't know it by that name), until Trinity finally messaged us to go up. The atmosphere was super tensed in the room because everyone was very nervous. Trinity said something, but nothing got in. My mind was preoccupied, with nothingness. Yes, I was stoning. I couldn't imagine what the outcome would be like. Staring in the direction of the speaker, but I looked through him. I was dazed. Luckily my ears did not fail me. I was called out together with WanNing, Crystal, Krystal and Teresa. This was the first group and we were asked to leave the room together with Jaren and Annabelle. This didn't help, lesser people means more stress. Then, Jaren begun his long preaching. Both of them brought us to walk around the school, saying that was to sooth our emotions. It appeared that we really need it a lot when WanNing actually broke down. But deep in me, I was actually cursing and ranting, "Why the long suffer?!" Spoke a little words of thoughts under LT1. It was the same thing, thank you guys and all. I've been repeating it for n times, but what else can I say? That was my truest thought. We continued to walk, and Jaren continued to digress. He talked about many things in House Committee and many things about our emotions, but refused to relieve the tension bothering our hearts. Finally, we reached the HC notice board, and the timing was almost to perfection. The other group- Zen, FangXiong, PhayKey, Matt and ShiYan led by MeiYi and Safwan. What seemed to be like a coincidence, where we merged to form a group of ten, which I failed to realise. This was when the news was broke to us, " this notice board belong to all of you all now." I got the meaning, but I refused to believe. As in, the doubt persisted. "Is he serious?" Matt was hit by this the greatest, because he was expecting someone. But soon, we knew it's the truth, the result we've been anticipating so much. Back in the room, the others had already left. House mistress and the current house captain took turn to talk to us, but most of us were still in a daze. At least I was.
